Experience the Magic of Outdoor Cinema Hull

Our Hull outdoor cinema is held at Burton Constable Hall in Skirlaugh, on the events lawn right next to the on-site cafe. Park up and follow the signs to the screen, this is about 3 min walk from the car park. It's easy to reach from Hull, Beverley, Hornsea and across East Yorkshire.

 

We finish our Halloween tour on Halloween night itself, Saturday 31st October, with Hocus Pocus and The Lost Boys at Burton Constable. Fancy dress is a must and you're welcome to bring a picnic – we’ll email you firm catering details before the event.

 

Tickets are secured with a £5 deposit on Eventbrite, with the rest paid on the door. Parking and toilets (including disabled toilets) are on site and under 3s go free.

 

About Burton Constable Hall

Burton Constable Hall is a grand Elizabethan country house near Skirlaugh, set in parkland landscaped by Capability Brown. With the hall as a backdrop, it’s the perfect place to end our Halloween tour on Halloween night itself.

 

Accessibility

The screen is on grass, so the ground can be uneven, especially after rain. Toilets, including disabled toilets, are on site. If you need a carer ticket or any other support, email us at info@openairfilm.co.uk before the event and we’ll help.

 

What to bring

Camping chairs or blankets (there’s no seating at Halloween), warm layers and a hot water bottle, a torch for the walk back to the car and sensible shoes for the grass. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic and drinks, including alcohol – please drink responsibly and leave the glass at home. No BBQs.

 

Tickets and prices

Adult £15, child £10, family (2 adults, 2 children) £35. Secure your place with a £5 deposit per ticket on Eventbrite and pay the rest on the door. Under 3s go free. Tickets are e-tickets on your phone – lost yours? We have a master list at the gate.

 

Weather and refunds

In most weather the show goes on, so wrap up and bring a poncho just in case. Refunds are available up to two weeks before the event, and if heavy rain or high winds mean we cancel or postpone, you’ll get a full refund. We post live updates on our Facebook page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome at most of our venues – just check with us before you come.

Is there food on site?
Catering varies by venue, so we’ll email you firm details before the event. Food vans take card and cash.

Can children come?
Yes, as long as they’re old enough for the film’s age rating – Hocus Pocus is a PG and The Lost Boys is a 15.

Can I smoke or vape?
Yes, to the side or back of the event, away from other guests.

Are there subtitles?
Not at the moment.
